These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Velorix B.V. (trading as NewsXL). Last updated 18 April 2026.
In these terms the following definitions apply: NewsXL: Velorix B.V., trading as NewsXL, established at IJsselburcht 3, 6825 BS Arnhem, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 99852616. Customer: the natural or legal person entering into an agreement with NewsXL. Service: the Usenet access and related functionality provided by NewsXL. Agreement: any agreement between NewsXL and the Customer to which these terms apply.
These terms apply to every offer made by NewsXL and to every Agreement concluded with the Customer. Deviations apply only if agreed in writing and do not affect the remaining provisions.
The Agreement is formed when the Customer places a subscription order via the NewsXL website and NewsXL confirms the order by email. The Customer receives these terms before or upon conclusion of the Agreement.
NewsXL provides access to the Usenet network through its servers and software. Content available on Usenet is supplied by third parties; NewsXL does not host, moderate or review this content and cannot guarantee the availability of individual articles.
The Customer is responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through the account. In case of suspected unauthorised use, the Customer must inform NewsXL without delay.
The Customer may not use the Service for unlawful purposes, including infringement of intellectual property rights, criminal activity, or any conduct contrary to the Acceptable Use Policy. In case of violation NewsXL may suspend the Service or terminate the Agreement with immediate effect.
Current fees are published on the website. Payment is made in advance through the payment methods offered by NewsXL. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled by the Customer in time. In case of non-payment NewsXL may suspend the Service.
Subscriptions are entered into for the term selected by the Customer and renew automatically at the end of that term. The Customer may cancel at any time via the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term. NewsXL may terminate the Agreement with immediate effect in case of a serious breach of these terms.
Consumers have 14 days after purchase to cancel the Agreement without giving reasons. This right lapses once performance of the Service has commenced within that period with the consumer's express consent and the consumer has acknowledged losing the right of withdrawal.
NewsXL strives to provide a reliable and secure Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Except in case of intent or gross negligence, NewsXL's liability is limited to direct damages and capped at the amount paid by the Customer in the six months preceding the event giving rise to the damage.
The NewsXL Privacy Statement applies to the processing of personal data by NewsXL.
NewsXL reserves the right to amend these terms. Changes are announced to the Customer at least 30 days before they take effect. A Customer who does not agree to a change may terminate the Agreement as of the effective date of the change.
Dutch law applies exclusively to the Agreement. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Arnhem, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
